Attorney Şeref Şahin served as an infantry commando non-commissioned officer in the Turkish Land Forces Command from 1994 to 2017. Over twenty-three years of military service, he dealt directly with unit organisation, disciplinary processes and the application of personnel legislation.
He began studying law while still in service and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2016. Since 2019, he has practised as an independent attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association.
His practice is mainly in military law. His principal areas of work include disputes over the dismissal, contract termination and reinstatement of military personnel, military criminal and high criminal court cases, and extraordinary legal remedies against final judgments.
In addition to criminal, administrative and disciplinary law, he provides litigation and legal advice in family, contract and debt, cooperative, condominium and immigration law.
